Project Overview
Mindfulness Exercises is a platform that provides tools and resources to improve focus, reduce stress, and enhance emotional well-being. It’s ideal for individuals, educators, and professionals seeking mindfulness practices, as well as mindfulness teachers looking for certification and scripts. With guided meditations, courses, and practical exercises, it helps everyone incorporate mindfulness into their daily lives.
Goal
The website's primary goal was to reach two types of audiences: mindfulness teachers, who helped them streamline their meditation session processes, and the wider public, which included mindfulness practitioners interested in improving their mindful living and meditation. Alongside providing free, valuable resources, the website aimed to sell its premium worksheets, scripts, courses, and business materials for teachers and mindfulness practitioners. To achieve the relevant audiences and business goals, we first cleaned up the website by removing unnecessary low-content URLs. Then, we focused on creating content strategies dedicated to these two types of audiences.
Solutions

Website Cleanup: Removing Low-Value URLs
We began by auditing the website’s 1,700 URLs to identify low-value content and optimize its structure. Using tools like Google Search Console and Ahrefs, we evaluated impressions, clicks, and keyword rankings. Each URL was manually reviewed to assess its relevance and content quality. Overall:
This cleanup saved the crawl budget, reduced clutter, and improved how Google perceived the website.
Content Strategy for Broader Audiences
Creating Thematic 101 Guides Around Meditation & Mindfulness
Since the client’s website targets broader audiences seeking help with their meditation goals, we created “101” resources for mindfulness enthusiasts. The content plan included guides targeting keywords like the ones below to help novice practitioners establish good mindfulness and meditation habits.
Creating Compilations of Meditation-related Quotes & Affirmations
The lion’s share of traffic we built for the client’s website refers to the quote and affirmation pages. These pages have been created for people who are new to meditation or looking for spiritual or personal growth inspiration. We created a silo for quotes and affirmation keywords with a collective monthly search volume of 145K.
We targeted keywords like:
What worked about this strategy is that they went beyond lists, offering practical ways to use quotes and affirmations and featuring an embedded player for an easy experience, which improved engagement rates. As a result, website traffic grew by 200% on top of the initial SEO growth.
Strategy for Meditation Teachers
While pages aimed at the general audience contribute the most to traffic growth, those specifically for mindfulness teachers lead to better conversions. Here’s what has been done to improve the website’s rankings for teaching-related keywords and, as a result, traffic and sales.
Optimizing Resource Collections Individual Script Pages
We optimized existing resource collection pages designed for mindfulness teachers so that the pages aligned with keyword intent, improving user experience and driving targeted traffic. We also redesigned the layout of the following resource pages, making sure to properly link to individual resources and adding helpful, user-focused content to make them more valuable and practical:
As a result, we started ranking in the Top 3 for the most important keywords, such as “meditation scripts” and “meditation worksheets.”
Optimizing Individual Script and Worksheet Pages
We optimized individual script and worksheet pages to include keywords that were previously missed. Although keywords like “color meditation script” and “guided meditation for stress and anxiety script” have low search volumes on their own, they contribute to the organic traffic thanks to the website’s wide variety of scripts. Earlier, these pages were not specifically checked for keywords and optimized for them. Now, the pages are using their full SEO potential.
Creating How-to Guides for Mindfulness & Meditation Teachers
We created specialized content to target mindfulness educators, including a structured silo guide with articles focused on keywords such as:
Although not a huge search volume, these keywords help us bring in highly targeted, high-quality traffic.
Internal Linking Strategy: Improving Navigation & Discoverability
With so many resources, proper linking is key to making everything easy to find. We used a parent-child structure and grouped content under keywords like “worksheets for anxiety” to target search volume and add more links.
Results
Notably, we achieved the results presented below without any link-building efforts. Yet, note that the website was already authoritative.
Monthly organic traffic surged from 13,826 to 103,285, an impressive 647% increase as of January 2024.

Keywords in the top 10 positions grew from 2,598 to 5,918 - a 127.8% rise.

With the project starting its strategy implementation in October 2022, the Domain Rating has increased from 58 to 62, showing a growth of 6.9%. Since then, the website has achieved 1,400 backlinks without outreach efforts during this period.
