Qwin offers premium, lab-tested THC and THC-A products through its PUFFY brand, offering a variety of options like vapes, edibles, and syrups. Known for its reliable, high-potency extracts, Qwin/Puffy has built a reputation for innovation in CBD and cannabis technology.

Goal

The primary objective for Puffy(Qwin) was to establish itself as a trusted leader in premium, lab-tested THC and THC-A products by increasing its organic presence and consumer awareness. The focus was on targeting relevant, high-intent keywords, both transactional and informational, to highlight their dedication to safety and innovation. Additionally, they relied on our expertise to migrate smoothly from Shopify to WordPress, keeping their existing SEO performance and user experience.

Collection & Product Page Optimization

We identified THCa, THCp, Mushrooms, Delta 9, Delta 8, HHCp, and Blends as high-potential product categories within the cannabis market. First, our team conducted a detailed keyword research to discover specific user intents -  vapes, edibles, and syrups - and matched them with collection and product pages. We then improved these pages through the following steps:

Optimizing Metadata and Headings: We created unique, keyword-rich titles and descriptions for each product line to attract relevant traffic.

Enhancing On-Page Content: We highlighted each category’s defining attributes like usage, flavor profiles, and lab-test certifications using informative copy to educate potential customers.

Streamlining Internal Links: We interlinked related items and provided clear pathways to similar products, improving the overall site navigation and SEO signals.

Improving UI/UX: We added user-friendly filters, visually engaging product grids and simple category menus to help shoppers quickly find the THC or THC-A products that fit their needs and increase overall conversions.

Informational Silo & Content Strategy

Beyond product-focused improvements, we created an informational content silo organized into clear categories like THCa, THCp, and other trending cannabis topics. This structure made Qwin/Puffy a trusted source of information for customers seeking reliable guidance on cannabis products. The key steps were:

Topic Clustering: We organized blog posts, FAQs, and guides around specific themes, addressing common questions and linking to relevant product pages.

Internal Linking Hierarchy: By placing top-level overview articles at the silo’s entry point, we funneled readers to in-depth subtopics, which also allowed search engines to navigate the site more effectively.

SEO-Optimized Content: We concentrated on writing articles with well-researched keywords and metadata and increasing visibility for informational queries and attracting new, research-oriented visitors.

Smooth Shopify to WordPress Migration

Our team managed the migration from Shopify to WordPress, keeping the SEO performance and minimizing any disruption to the user experience. The process involved:

Implementing 301 Redirects: We mapped and redirected all URLs from Shopify to WordPress to avoid broken links and ensure customers could easily find their wanted products.

Technical SEO Audit: We addressed potential performance issues, such as site speed and crawlability, before launch to keep a smooth and responsive user experience.

URL Restructuring & Silo Setup: We organized content into logical silos, like product categories and subcategories, improving site navigation and SEO signals.

Continuous Testing and Monitoring: We used real-time analytics and Search Console data to quickly identify and resolve any issues, making sure the transition is successful and the organic search visibility is at its best.

Link Building and Authority Growth

Our link-building initiatives focused on acquiring high-quality backlinks from relevant,  industry-focused websites. We have secured 390 new backlinks through these targeted efforts with an average Domain Rating (DR) of 50. This improvement contributed to the improvement of Qwin/Puffy’s overall authority.

Results

By resolving technical SEO issues, targeting high-intent cannabis keywords, and optimizing product and category pages, Qwin/Puffy achieved measurable growth in online visibility. TThe Shopify-to-WordPress migration kept their existing authority while creating a base for future development. 

Early successes were already visible, with increases in domain rating, organic traffic, and top-ranking keywords. Moving forward, we continue to work on the site structure, improve the user experience and monitor performance metrics to fully recover from the migration and keep the long-term growth in the competitive THC market.

When we began collaborating with Qwin/Puffy, monthly organic traffic was just 370. After implementing the Shopify-to-WordPress migration, optimizing collection/product pages, and improving on-site SEO, it reached 7,412 - a 1,902% increase from the starting point.

Initially, Qwin/Puffy had only 44 keywords in the top 10 search results. Through strategic content creation, on-page optimization, and the development of a silo site structure, this number has risen to 215 keywords—a 389% increase. This growth not only expanded the brand’s search visibility but also drove a significant increase in organic traffic, as more high-intent queries began directing users to the site.

When we began our work with Qwin/Puffy, the website had a Domain Rating of 13. We successfully executed targeted link-building campaigns throughout the project, acquiring top-tier backlinks from 390 unique domains. These efforts resulted in a significant boost, increasing the Domain Rating to 34, a 162% increase.
