SenseHR is a complete people platform that simplifies HR administration by optimizing HR processes like onboarding, reporting, and improving the employee experience. This cloud-based HR solution is tailored specifically for UK-based small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Goal
SenseHR aimed to rank for the “HR software,” “HR system,” and “HR software UK” keywords in top positions in the UK. Previously, they invested about a year in link-building efforts to improve the homepage’s rankings. Despite their efforts, their keyword rankings did not improve as expected due to ineffective strategies. At this point, they hired us to formulate a new strategy to achieve their ranking goals.
Solutions
To improve rankings for "HR software," "HR system," and "HR software UK," we applied two link-building strategies. First, we focused on link insertion and contextual niche editing on authority websites and blogs. Second, we acquired relevant, high-quality links from SaaS websites that were not direct competitors.
These strategies efficiently distributed backlink juice across the site, enhancing the overall strength and visibility of the website domain in search engine rankings. Overall, our link-building team acquired 290 high-quality backlinks from relevant websites and SaaS blogs, with an average DR of 50.
Link Insertion / Contextual Niche Edits
Using contextual niche edits, we strategically placed links in the existing blog articles of authoritative HR and staff management websites. This approach ensured that the links were seamlessly integrated into the content, making them appear natural and boosting their effectiveness in improving search engine rankings.
High-Quality SaaS Backlinks
To find relevant SaaS websites for backlinks, we focused on tools and software commonly used by HR teams, such as payroll management tools and office scheduling platforms. Our team handpicked websites that met our quality criteria and had an active blog section. To attract links from these websites, we created linkable assets and sent out personalized pitches to webmasters suggesting mutually beneficial collaboration. After successful negotiations, we secured the desired backlinks for our client.
Results
We began to observe traffic growth in the fourth month after implementing the strategy. Within 14 months of this strategic implementation, organic clicks surged by an impressive 1937%, attracting a significantly larger audience to the website.
SenseHR's homepage began ranking for 49 new keywords in the top 10 positions, marking a remarkable 880% increase compared to the initial number of keywords in the top 10 positions. Consequently, the website experienced a surge of 1.1K additional monthly traffic.
Currently, SenseHR ranks in the 2nd position for the target keyword "HR software" and in the top 10 positions for other relevant keywords.
Upon onboarding the project, the website had a Domain Rating of 7. Through the successful execution of link building campaigns over 14 months, we acquired top-tier backlinks from 290 unique domains and increased the DR to 37.
