Project Overview
Genie Academy offers online and in-person tutoring classes for pre-K through high school students. Their programs include math, reading, writing, coding, and specialized test preparation courses for exams like the SAT, ACT, and ASVAB.
Goal
After migrating to a new domain, Genie Academy's primary goal was to make sure they have a technically healthy website free from errors with better functionality and user experience. They also aimed to increase organic traffic, generate more leads for their tutoring programs, and improve their Domain Rating (DR).
Solutions
New Landing Pages with Silo Structure
We developed a detailed plan for restructuring the website and creating high-performing pages. The new structure focused on their core tutoring subjects, including math, reading, writing, and coding. We created clustered service pages for different grades and subjects.
The purpose of our strategy was to have a well-organized and user-friendly website. The newly created clustered tutoring pages are lead-generation pages optimized to attract targeted traffic. As a result, the website increased organic traffic, and the strategically created pages successfully converted visitors into leads.
Blog Optimization
We conducted a detailed analysis of the existing blog content and identified areas that needed optimization. Based on this, we provided recommendations to improve current articles and suggested new, relevant topics for Genie Academy’s target audience.
As a result, the blog started performing much better, driving significant organic traffic to the website.
Technical Audit and Implementation
We performed a detailed technical audit to identify website performance issues. During the audit, we found broken links, 404 errors, no-index links that needed to be indexed, canonical errors, missing index tags, site speed issues, and structured data problems.
We fixed all these issues to ensure the website was technically running smoothly. As a result, Genie Academy now has a technically healthy website, providing a better user experience and improved search engine visibility.
Link Building
We developed a strong link-building strategy to acquire backlinks from high-authority, relevant websites. They were acquired mainly from websites in parenting, education, and lifestyle niches, which are relevant to Genie Academy’s target audience. The average Domain Rating (DR) of those websites was 50. The approach focused primarily on guest posting, emphasizing the new tutoring service pages.
As a result of this strategy, Genie Academy now has more than 100 high-quality backlinks. These links boosted the website’s authority from 16 to 32.
Results
When we began working with Genie Academy, the monthly organic traffic was 826 visitors.
Following the key optimizations, including website restructuring, creating clustered tutoring pages, optimizing blog content, and resolving technical issues, organic traffic jumped to 9,951 monthly visitors. This 1105% increase was supported by well-planned link-building campaigns.
At the start of the project, Genie Academy had only 31 keywords ranking in the top 10 search results, limiting its visibility and reach.
After implementing a targeted SEO strategy, which included optimizing service pages, creating clustered tutoring pages, and improving blog content, the number of keywords in the top 10 reached 331. Accordingly, we had a 968% increased visibility in search engines.
Genie Academy’s Domain Rating (DR) was 16, reflecting a moderate level of website authority.
Through a focused link-building strategy, the DR doubled to 32. We had a 100% increase, which improved the website's credibility and strengthened its ability to rank higher in search engine results.
